FIFTH ORDINARY WEEK OF THE YEAR - 5th Feb To
11thFeb ' 2012
- The church celebrates the memory of St. Gonsalo Garcia on Mon 6th Feb and 150 years of his canonization to sainthood.
- Fri 10th Feb is the celebration of the memory of St. Scholastica.
- The feast of Our Lady of Lourdes is celebrated on Sat 11th Feb. This day is also observed as World Day of the Sick. The week from Mon 6th – Sun 12th Feb is observed as Healing Ministry Week. This is an opportunity to pray for the sick and housebound and also for those actively involved in the Healing Ministry like doctors, nurses, paramedics, health institutions, etc. On 11th Feb, besides the 7am and 6.30pm mass, there will be a special mass with blessing of the sick at 4.00pm followed by fellowship. The family members and parish councilors are requested to bring the sick for this Eucharistic celebration.
- Next Sun 12th Feb is celebrated as Holy Childhood Sunday. A second collection will be made during all masses. Contributions can be made either in cash or cheque drawn in favour of "Archdiocese of Bombay-Holy Childhood Association". The liturgy and backdrop next Sun 12th Feb will be done by Bl. Mother Teresa Community.
- St. Anthony Community will conduct ½ hour adoration on Fri 10th Feb at 7.30pm.
- The Rite of Presentation of the Creed to the Communicants will be tomorrow Sun 5th Feb at the 9.15am mass in the church. Parents of Communicants are requested to be present.
- Eucharistic Ministers will have their Holy Hour on Sun 5th Feb at 4.00pm in the chapel.
- Annual Thanksgiving Mass of Don Bosco Community is on Sun 12th Feb at 9.15am in the hall.
- St. Joseph Community will meet on Sun 5th Feb at 4/9 Blossom Soc. at 6.30pm.
- St. Michael Community will meet on Mon 6th Feb at LT 11/3 Vijaynagar at 8.00pm.
- St. Patrick Community will meet on Tues 7th Feb at 16/3/4 Bhavani Nagar at 8.00pm.
- The parish team wish to place on record their heartfelt gratitude to all volunteers and all those who have helped in every small way to make the Vinpal Fete 2012 a grand success. The volunteers of the fete will have a get-together on Sat 11th Feb at 8.00pm.
