Pre-baptismal catechesis is held every two months in our parish. This catechesis is compulsory for those parents desiring baptism for their child and have not attended the catechesis before. Baptism will not be administered unless the parents have a certificate, whether from this parish or any other, stating that they have completed this course.

Through the course you will understand better the meaning and purpose of baptism, as also the important and essential role parents and god-parents have in bringing up their child in the Catholic faith.

Pre-baptismal catechesis will be held at 10.30 am for approximately 2½ hours on the following Sundays of this year.

February 6th and 13th
April 3rd and 10th
June 5th and 12th
August 7th and 14th
October 2nd and 9th
December 4th and 11th

It is advisable that both parents (father and mother) attend the catechesis in the early months of pregnancy and not wait till the last moment. The above dates have been put up on the notice board well in advance to enable the parents to plan their attendance together. The god-parents are required to attend on the second Sunday.
